It's Worth Being a Social Enterprise!
We are pleased to say that we received support under the “It’s Worth Being a Social Enterprise!” programme for 2023–2025 (2024 edition). It helped us work even better as a social enterprise, including through the Kuchnia z Sercem food truck. Thank you!
We are glad to report that we carried out activities under the “It’s Worth Being a Social Enterprise!” programme for 2023–2025. It is a ministerial programme of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy, aimed at financial support for the development of social entrepreneurship. The programme, previously known as “Social Enterprise +”, opens new possibilities for social-economy entities so they can deliver important initiatives that support the local community.
How the funds were used in 2024
With this support we carried out a range of activities in three main areas.
1. Employment support
The task funded salaries for four Fundacja Q employees from January to December 2024. The funds let us keep employment stable and continue our social work.
2. Support for delivering social services
Programme funds made several key undertakings possible:
Equipment for educational and cultural activity
A project was delivered and a covered stage was built at the Civic Aid Centre in Tarnowska Wola. The stage makes it possible to hold events such as workshops, concerts and talks regardless of the weather. In 2024 it hosted, among others, Festiwal Wędrowiec, the rally of vehicles with Dezamet engines, and culinary and art workshops.
Equipment for catering activity
A shelter was built in front of the food truck that serves soldiers and staff at the nearby military training ground. The shelter gives customers more comfort when they use the catering service.
Training for employees
A series of four trainings was held on interpersonal communication, social media, digital skills, and catering and customer-service standards. Staff skills improved in the key areas of our work.
Courses for employees
Four courses were organised: project management, work psychology, first aid, and logistics in catering. The courses improved how work is organised, increased effectiveness, and raised customer-service standards.
3. Day-to-day support
Day-to-day support funded key operating costs:
- Accounting costs — accounting services and financial consultations were paid for.
- Promoting our work — advertising materials were produced, a promotional concert was organised during Cieszanów Rock Festival, and materials promoting the foundation and the food truck were prepared.
- Keeping the office running — office and cleaning supplies were bought so the office could function smoothly.
- Covering utility costs.
Summary
The work carried out under the “It’s Worth Being a Social Enterprise!” programme for 2023–2025 had a real effect on the development of our activity and of the local community. The funds let us deliver ambitious projects, raise service standards, and support staff development. We thank the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy for the support and for the chance to keep developing social entrepreneurship.
