What is happening at the Rozalin school?

Since 18 May 2019, the school in Rozalin has been the home of the Museum of Stories.

It is a place with history, where there was once noise in the corridors, lessons in Polish and mathematics, and everyday school life. Over time, however, the school was closed and the building stood empty. Because we know and respect the history of the school in Rozalin, we want to preserve the trace that was written into its walls over many years.

That is why the Museum of Stories organizes events dedicated to children. We have already invited pupils from the primary school in Tarnowska Wola to join the We Clean, Not Just Talk #TrashTagRozalin action, and we were also happy to organise a shared Children’s Day celebration.

We want the school in Rozalin to keep welcoming children, so we created a special offer for schools and organised groups. Our museum is constantly improving and adapting its exhibitions for the youngest visitors.

Museum of Stories offer with themed workshops

We invite organised groups, primary schools, secondary schools, and students to take part. Workshops are conducted for groups of 20 to 30 people.

Participants are divided into two smaller groups that alternate between touring the museum exhibition and taking part in selected workshops. Available workshop themes include:

• Comic Stories: Small Academy of Comics - minimum age 10
• Stories Captured in a Frame: Digital Photography - minimum age 10
• Stories Through Images and Words in Social Media - minimum age 13
• Shared Stories: Retro Games and Activities - minimum age 3

Fees and duration

A museum tour plus a selected workshop lasts 90 minutes in total and costs 20 PLN per person.

The price includes:

• care from a museum guide,
• a workshop instructor,
• art materials,
• keepsakes at the end of the workshop.

The total time is divided into 45 minutes of museum visiting and 45 minutes of workshop activities. Group supervisors take part free of charge.

Opening hours:

• Monday to Friday, 09:00-15:00 for groups,
• Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00 for individual visitors.

Children’s Day with the Museum of Stories

For Children’s Day, we invited children from the Count Stanislaw Tarnowski Primary School in Tarnowska Wola to the Museum of Stories. Together with their carers, they had a chance to tour the exhibition, get to know the museum exhibits better, and hear the stories connected with them.

Children’s Day is a special time full of carefree fun and surprises. We wanted to spend this time together with the children, so we turned the area around the school into a giant playground. The picnic was built around old-fashioned outdoor games such as bottle-cap racing, tag, skipping rope, hopscotch, and dodgeball, games that many of the youngest participants no longer know today.

Together with parents, we also prepared refreshments and a bonfire. Outdoor fun followed by a shared meal was the perfect combination and reminded us that there is a child in each of us.
