Opening of the Museum of Stories

Since the beginning of the year, work had been underway in the Rozalin primary school building on the Museum of Stories project. The initiative was launched by Marcin Kurnik and Robert Wilk. From the first idea, through preparations, all the way to the opening, it was certainly not an easy task. Preparations lasted several months, and the final week turned out to be especially intense, with our entire team working at full speed.

The Museum of Stories has now officially become part of the cultural map of our region.

We had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful people willing to share their stories and enrich the exhibition with keepsakes. We would like to thank everyone involved in preparing the opening of the Museum of Stories, and all the guests who honoured us with their presence.

Polskie Radio Rzeszow broadcast live with their wonderful editors Bernadetta and Justyna, the catering was provided by the team from SzybkoPysznieDomowo, and Browar Rzemieslniczy Lasowiak prepared a special non-alcoholic yerba mate drink for the occasion. Among our guests were the Mayor of Nowa Deba, Wieslaw Ordon, the Head of Tarnobrzeg County, Jerzy Sudol, and members of the municipal and county councils.

Visitors to the opening enjoyed many attractions, including a performance by the local group Bielowianki, guided visits to the museum exhibition, and the photography exhibition COP Gems by the FotoSztuka group, whose members include Agata Obara, Monika Jablonska, and Robert Wilk.

Guests could also purchase souvenirs in our small shop. The offer includes T-shirts, mugs, magnets, posters, and postcards. All graphics were designed by Grzegorz Lubas and Lukasz Nobis.

As part of the Night of Museums, our coworking space also hosted its first concert, and we hope it will not be the last. The star of the evening was the extraordinary artist Sviatyj, also known as Wojciech Fil. Talented, mysterious, and unconventional, he performed his original songs for the audience.

The official opening is now behind us, but work on the Museum of Stories is not over. We are still looking for interesting exhibits and for people willing to share their own stories. We warmly invite everyone to visit and explore the exhibition.
