Volunteer Day - We Power People Into Action

Every year volunteers have their own holiday, and this time we are also celebrating International Volunteer Day. On 5 December, we invite you from 14:00 onward.

This is a great opportunity to make visible the effort that many public-benefit organizations put into helping others at the local, national, and global levels. Work done without pay, out of genuine care, is both special and priceless. That is why we invite all of you to celebrate this day with us.

Join the event so you do not miss anything: Volunteer Day - We Power People Into Action

We have planned many attractions. We begin with demonstration workshops by the world-champion robotics academy Spice Gears - Team 5883.

The workshop How to care for a chronically ill person will be led by Agnieszka Markowicz, ambassador of the Damy Rade project in the Podkarpackie and Swietokrzyskie regions. During the session, participants will learn proper care and hygiene, how to choose absorbent products, and how to prevent pressure sores. There will also be an opportunity for individual consultation with a specialist.

There will also be photography workshops led by Robert Wilk, comic workshops with Grzegorz Lubas, and a Volunteering from the Ground Up session run by Marcin Kurnik.

We also have talks and lectures by remarkable guests, including:

• Marcin Piotrowski - director of the Folkowisko Festival, producer of the Cieszanow Rock Festival, initiator of Peasants’ Freedom Day, deputy director of the culture and sport centre in Cieszanow, and co-owner of Chutor Gorajec.
• Adam Ptasiński - paramedic, business trainer, and social-skills trainer, involved in social and educational projects and local-community action through Fundacja Generator Inspiracji and Fundacja Przestrzen dla Ciebie.
• Miroslawa Widurek - retired teacher and educator, currently president of the Dla Rownosci association and an active member of the Podkarpackie Public Benefit Activity Council in Rzeszow.
• Marek Widurek - working across social support, culture, education, volunteering, digital literacy, and pedagogical prevention, with extensive training experience.

The evening will be crowned by a concert from Eskaubei and Tomek Nowak Quartet, the only Polish band consistently combining jazz improvisation with rap lyrics. The group will promote its newest album Sweet Spot. The concert begins at 20:00 and admission is free.

This special day is also an opportunity to thank and send good wishes to everyone who works selflessly for the benefit of others. On the occasion of International Volunteer Day, we wish all volunteers perseverance, strength, faith in what you do, and a lot of positive energy to pass on to others.
