What is happening at the Rozalin school?

We are very pleased that the first issue of the weekly Warkot attracted so much interest. Once again, we are happy to share our recent activities with you and announce the next projects we are preparing.

Social and cultural events are an inseparable part of the Social Economy Enterprise run by Fundacja Q. So yes, plenty has been happening at the school in Rozalin. What exactly?

This week we had the pleasure of hosting Polskie Radio Rzeszow during the event called “Free Saturday”, a gathering of inspiring, passionate people.

A live radio broadcast and live interviews were a new challenge for the Social Economy Enterprise team. Experiences like these, thanks to which we meet interesting and positive people and community activists, are exactly what we value most.

We talked, among other things, about how the enterprise was created, which projects we are implementing, and what will be happening here in the near future. You can find a photo report from the event on our Facebook profile Facebook post.

The meeting was combined with the We Clean, Not Just Talk! campaign, #TrashtagRozalin and #Trashtag.

Our brave team from the Count Stanislaw Tarnowski Primary School in Tarnowska Wola rolled up their sleeves and got to work. They cleaned instead of talking.

Bags were filled with rubbish and properly sorted. A forest is not a landfill. Well done to the whole team.

Small Academy of Comics

We are launching the Small Academy of Comics workshops. The project is aimed both at children and at grown-ups, because comics are for everyone.

We organize workshops for commercial groups, school groups, and anyone passionate about comics. During the sessions participants will learn the basics of culture and art theory and explore the history of Polish and world comics.

Most importantly, they will discover the secrets of creating comics through simple art exercises, games, and activities.

We run workshops:

• off-site, Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 12:00,
• on-site at the Social Economy Enterprise headquarters in Rozalin, Monday to Friday, from 12:00 to 14:00.

Registration is already open, and we can organize the first sessions from 22 April.

The classes will be led by the artist and author of the “Comic Mural” artwork. Grzegorz’s piece is part of the developing Museum of Stories in our building and introduces visitors to the history of the Dezamet Metal Works. You can see the final effect video.

The entire project was designed and created by Grzegorz Lubas. We proudly present his work and encourage you to join the comic workshops.

Museum of Stories and photography walks

Work on opening the Museum of Stories is still underway. This project requires long-term preparation: we are collecting exhibits and talking to people who are part of this history. We are creating a place that will tell stories in the voices of people themselves.

We are also inviting you to the photography workshops Nowa Deba’s COP Gems: a Photo Walk. As part of the “Foto Sztuka” photography group, we invite everyone interested to join walks around Nowa Deba. Robert Wilk will guide the walks, and our spring photo target will be the architectural gems of the Central Industrial District era. The walks will culminate in an exhibition planned for the Night of Museums at the Rozalin Museum of Stories.

New Technologies Lab and Rekrutujemy

We would also like to remind you about the New Technologies Lab project Facebook. As part of this project, we are launching a series of meetings for seniors.

Digital Academy for Seniors is a workshop series focused on digital education and support in using new devices. The project is fully free of charge and aimed at residents of Rozalin and the Municipality of Nowa Deba.

The workshop plan includes six meetings, and the first one will take place on 11 April at 18:00. If you are interested, please sign up in person, by phone, or through our Facebook profile:
