WARKOT #18
What is happening at the Rozalin school?
We have another batch of updates about what is happening here. There are many interesting events coming up, and we would like to share them with you. There is something for everyone.
Today at 17:00, MAK - Mala Akcja Komiksowa starts. We are opening a fan club where comic lovers can meet one another. Regular meetings, conversations, exchanges, and lectures - all focused on comics. If you want to show your own work, talk, or exchange ideas, you are very welcome.
We begin with the official opening of the exhibition from the IPN archives: Comics in the Polish People’s Republic, the Polish People’s Republic in Comics.
Free digital classes
You can still sign up for free digital-skills classes. On Thursday, 24 October at 16:00, we invite you to an organizational meeting where you will be able to register for the course. We will talk about your needs, the concrete skills you want to learn, and the tools you struggle with so that we can tailor the programme even better.
If your parents or grandparents do not manage well with computers, laptops, or smartphones, bring them to us and we will gladly explain everything.
The training package includes 16 hours and covers:
- introduction to digital devices,
- setting up email, Facebook, and Google accounts,
- smartphone use,
- digital devices in practice,
- online safety, including shopping and trusted profiles,
- using Google tools,
- and much more.
Classes will be held in groups with similar skill levels.
Free language courses
You can also still register for free English and German courses. To take part, you need to:
- live in the Podkarpackie region,

A note for journalists
We publish Warkot so that information about our work can travel further. We want journalists and local media to know what is happening here and to be able to use information straight from the source.
To make that even easier, we are offering free use of our Coworking space until the end of the year. For details, contact us directly.
The original Polish article also contained a long list of media outlets to help spread the information further. We have preserved the intent here while keeping the English version readable.
We warned you it would be intense. See you soon.
