What is happening at the Rozalin school?

This week, the Fundacja Q team started with Latarnicy 2020 training. With freshly gained knowledge and a lot of enthusiasm, we are launching a new project.

Who is a “Latarnik”? A Digital Poland Latarnik is an educator who leads digital-skills classes for people aged 44-64 and 65+, in an area of activity they choose themselves. Latarnicy run their training plan based on the “latarnik method”, which they learn during trainer workshops. The basis of this method is an individualized teaching process, embedding digital topics in everyday life, and keeping educational activities local and close to people.

For the next several months, at the New Technologies Lab, we will run free classes focused on digital competences. We can adapt the sessions to your needs. We will work on desktop computers, laptops, and smartphones. You can come from Monday to Thursday between 16:00 and 18:00.

We will keep sharing additional information about dates and hours on the New Technologies Lab Facebook page.

Tomorrow, from 11:00, we will also be active in Millennium Hall in Rzeszow. Together with Empik, we are organizing eco workshops. We will promote environmental protection and living in line with ecological principles. We will also talk about recycling and reusing waste, and show how to care for nature while having fun.

The workshops will include three panels:

• Stories About Waste - comic workshops,
• Don’t Throw It Away, Reuse It - games and activities with waste materials,
• A Lens on Endangered Nature - photography workshops.

Empik loves the planet, and the Museum of Stories does too, so we are happy to take part in this action.

Festival season may be ending, but not at the Museum of Stories. We have decided that QLtura Fest will continue all year round. You can expect more concerts, photography exhibitions, author meetings, and outdoor cinema.

We already have several exhibitions in reserve. Soon we will present, among others, a painting exhibition by Grzegorz Gerba, Robert Wilk’s concert photography, and A Story of the Sandomierz Forest by Robert Wilk and Marcin Kurnik.

We are also very happy that our concerts are attracting more and more interest. Friday the 13th was definitely not unlucky for us - the Henry No Hurry concert was fantastic. With such an audience, it could hardly have been otherwise. Thank you for being with us.

Before those emotions had fully settled, we already had another concert waiting. On Tuesday Ragnar Olafsson will play at our place at 20:00. He is a versatile Icelandic musician, multi-instrumentalist, and composer known from several bands, especially Arstidir. Only a few seats are left, so do not hesitate and reserve your tickets.

And we are already preparing the next event. We can reveal that in October Sviatyj will perform in our coworking space for the second time.

As you can see, a lot is happening. That is why we will soon launch the Golden Card for Culture Lovers. The card will grant entry to all our events. The number of cards will be limited, so first come, first served.
