On August 25–27, the Civic Aid Center in Tarnowska Wola hosted a unique event that united enthusiasts of travel, nature, music and motoring. The Wanderer Festival and the 4th Rally of Engine-Powered Vehicles from Nowa Dęba turned out to be not only great entertainment, but also an opportunity to make new friends and integrate between generations.
Kayaking trip (August 25)
On the eve of the start of the Wanderer Festival, on Friday, August 25, a unique kayaking trip took place. On the Dąbrowica–Ulanów route, 15 brave participants, including adults, seniors and youth, took up the challenge of the Tanew River together. This not only provided excitement related to kayaking, but also promoted intergenerational integration and establishing new friendships. The rafting route, approximately 7 km long, allowed participants to admire the picturesque areas of the Sandomierska Forest. The evening ended at the bonfire, where everyone had the opportunity to talk freely and exchange impressions. It was a perfect start to an extraordinary festival weekend.
Day 1 of the Wanderer Festival (August 26)
Saturday brought an unexpected storm and strong wind to start the festival. Concerts planned for that day have been moved to Sunday. Only Scouts and Cub Scouts, soaked but steadfast, bravely presented themselves musically on the COP stage.
Day 2 – Vehicle Rally and concerts (August 27)
Sunday was the time when the weather was good. Vehicle registration began at 12 p.m. 20 historic vehicles with engines from Nowa Dęba took part in the parade. The rally route led from Tarnowska Wola through the forest road to the reservoir in Nowa Dęba, through the main streets of the city and back to the COP. After the parade, we were also joined by slightly newer motorcycles, about 40 of them, for which we are very grateful.
During the rally, commemorative lanyards, stickers and diplomas were awarded in individual categories, including the oldest participant (a charming 1945 model) and the oldest machine - Ural R-65, 1958 model year. There were also the youngest participant, born in 2007, and popular machines such as MZ, WSK and Komar. Participants came from various voivodeships, including Świętokrzyskie and Podkarpackie.
After the rally of vehicles powered by engines from Nowa Dęba, it was time for a musical feast. On the COP stage we had the opportunity to enjoy concerts of talented artists: Piotr Rogala, Kuba Blokesz, Chris Ellys and Michał Kowalonek - each of them provided unforgettable moments of musical entertainment. There was also a performance by the Scout Music Group, which additionally heated up the atmosphere with its songs. It was a day full of diverse sounds that will certainly remain in the memory of all festival travelers for a long time.
During the event, a Lottery for Otto was held, during which PLN 360 was collected. There was also a “Kuchnia z Sercem” food truck, which served, among others: delicious prosia sandwiches. The final touch was the opportunity to take advantage of the Q Shop offer, where you could buy magnets, mugs, lanyards, stickers, postcards and posters with a motif of motorcycles with engines from Nowa Dęba.
