We invite you to the Rzeszów Knights’ Tournament, which will take place in the moat of the Rzeszów Castle on May 2 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. On the occasion of 20 this year. anniversary of the establishment of our Association, we return to the idea of knights’ tournaments in Rzeszów, abandoned after 2001.
This year’s tournament will gather several dozen historical reenactors from all over Poland. The program includes, among others: knights’ combat competitions (13th century), sword and shield tournament (15th century), long sword tournament (15th century) and open ancient archery tournament.
For the first time on the occasion of the knights’ tournament in Rzeszów, a special, commemorative coin will be minted - the first 400** people who will visit the tournament from 14.
Framework program of the event
- 12:00 – opening of the Tournament
- 12:30 – eliminations of the archery tournament
- 13:00 – 13th century combat tournament
- 14:00–15:00 – regeneration break, start of minting the tournament coin
- 15:00 – sword and shield combat tournament of the 15th century.
- 15:30 – final of the archery tournament
- 16:00 – long sword combat tournament of the 15th century.
- 17:15 – awarding of prizes to tournament participants
- 17:30 – group fight of knights
- 18:00 – end of the Tournament
Attractions during the event
- A stand of blacksmiths presenting this craft
- Ancient archery track for all interested people (approximately 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
- Executioner’s position - stocks and “shortening by a head” for urchins
- Safe knight fights for children (1:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m.)
- Possibility to purchase knightly accessories for the youngest
