Kuchnia z Sercem began with curiosity. With discovering recipes, products and the stories of people connected with the Sandomierz Forest. In time that search moved in front of the camera, into workshops and into the food truck kitchen. Today the name brings together different ways of sharing food and talking about the region.

From Alfredówka to a kitchen on film
In Alfredówka, Joanna Sadecka-Kurnik ran Dobre Miejsce with Marcin Kurnik. There, getting to know local products and old recipes, she went deeper into Lasowiak cooking. As a cultural scholar she wanted to talk not only about how to prepare a dish, but also about the place and the tradition it grows from.
That is how the online film series “Kuchnia z sercem” came about. Joanna prepared the cooking and hosted the episodes, with support from Marcin and from Łukasz Nobis, who among other things took care of editing, animation and subtitles. In the films, the region’s cooking is not a museum piece: old recipes become an inspiration for cooking today as well.
Tradition is best experienced together
Kuchnia z Sercem stepped beyond the screen. Joanna Sadecka-Kurnik led cooking demonstrations, and at the workshops participants could not only taste regional dishes, but also get to know the ingredients, recipes and the stories behind them. In Stalowa Wola, Joanna prepared dishes inspired by the cooking of the Sandomierz Forest. There was also an offer of workshops for children, devoted to proziaki and regional tradition, aimed among others at schools.
Cooking together gives this story a further life: a recipe can be seen in a film, but at the table you can try it, ask about it and share a memory of your own.

The food truck: regional flavour on the road
The Kuchnia z Sercem food truck takes our flavours to where people meet: to events and into local communities. We serve contemporary dishes with a regional accent, including sandwiches on proziaki. At the food truck we have also run workshops where children got to know proziaki and the traditions around them. It is the food side of Kuchnia z Sercem and one of the ways Fundacja Q works.
Why “z Sercem”?
Because food can be the start of something more. It brings back memories, lets you discover the flavours of the region and gives a reason to sit down together at one table.
At Kuchnia z Sercem we share what matters to us: local traditions, the joy of cooking together and ideas that bring people together. We do this through films, workshops and the food work of Fundacja Q.
